Richard M. Kuehl is a German-American photographer based at Keble College, University of Oxford. He is currently reading for a Bachelor's degree in French and Italian with a particular focus on 19th century literature.

As of 2024, he is the president of the Oxford University Photographic Society founded in 1891.

During the summer of 2024, he worked as an assistant for Mauro Balletti: Internationally acclaimed for his decade spanning collaboration with Italian singer Mina, he frequently works with the likes of Vogue Italia and Harper’s Bazaar: https://mauroballetti.com/

His photography is mainly characterised by his focus on capturing every-day life scenes in interesting new ways and highlighting the beauty of their mundanity.

Most recently, he has ventured into the realm of poetry, combining his photographic work with other art forms such as poetry.

In June of 2024, he was awarded the Nabila Walji Photo prize.
